The holiday season has arrived and the North Dallas area has lots of fun holiday activities for families to enjoy. Following are a few of the holiday events happening in our area this month. Make plans now to celebrate the season with your family!
Christmas in the Square
An extraordinary holiday light show synchronized to holiday music can be seen at Frisco Square from Friday, November, 26 through Sunday, December, 5. Christmas in the Square’s light display features over 70,000 lights and the holiday music can be heard throughout the area. This event is for kids of all ages and will also feature outdoor movies, carriage rides, bounce house, train rides, balloon artists, and more. The Cowboys Christmas Extravaganza
The Dallas Cowboys will host their fifth annual Cowboys Christmas Extravaganza powered by Reliant at The Star in Frisco every Friday and Saturday evening at 6pm from Nov. 19 through Dec. 18 on Tostitos Championship Plaza. The event is a stunning 20-minute show, beginning with the lighting of The Star’s 67-foot Christmas tree and leading to a holiday performance showcasing the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dancers and Rookie Squad, Dallas Cowboys Drumline, mascot Rowdy, Santa, and special Dallas Cowboys guest appearances. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is free and available onsite. Families can visit The Star District for dinner options at over thirty restaurants, unique upscale shopping, and a variety of specialty services. The Dallas Cowboy-themed Star District is a place for the whole family to enjoy.
Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular
The Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular Tour is an all-new production for 2021. Featuring some of the greatest holiday songs of all time, performed with the world-renowned cast of Cirque Musica, this is a wonderful opportunity for your family to experience spectacular holiday music while enjoying the unique Cirque experience. Tickets are available to performances on Friday, December 24 and Sunday, December 26.
Frisco Lights, Chocolate & Sips Christmas Tour
This fun food tour is appropriate for all ages and includes transportation via motorcoach, dessert samples, beverages, and your tour guide. Frisco has many beautiful lights displays to see, from glittering Frisco Square with its dancing lights choreographed to music to the Railroad District with lit-up gazebos and beautifully decorated historic homes. While you enjoy the tour, your family can also enjoy delicious desserts, hot chocolate, soft drinks, and water as well as other great beverages (you may also bring your own). You and your family can relax as you enjoy the sights, listen to holiday music, and soak up the holiday spirit. The tour is offered on Sun, December 26, 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM. A Frisco Christmas Vacation
Bring the whole family for a very special showing of the holiday classic, “Christmas Vacation,” at the Nack Theater on Friday, December 10. We will have wine, hot cocoa and other options available to purchase. We will also have some very special Chevy Chase merchandise from the man himself! All proceeds will be donated to Frisco Family Services, so this is a wonderful opportunity to share in the Christmas spirit and have fun at the same time. Prizes will be given for the ugliest Christmas sweater and best Christmas Vacation outfit!
Santa at The Star
Need to take the little ones to visit the Big Guy? Santa at the Star is presented by Monument Realty. Reservations with Santa are available Friday, November 26 through Friday, December 24. Families can take pictures with Saint Nick inside his custom Dallas Cowboys cottage. Photo packages include a printed 5×7 photo and an exclusive Cowboys gift for each child. Santa’s cottage is located centrally in The Star District at 3620 The Star Blvd, Suite 1205. Parking is available in the Silver Parking Garage located off of Gaylord Parkway. Questions?
